These pieces were generated using PolychromeText (that's a good name, I can't think of a better one!) and ImageTexter (that's a terrible name, I can't think of a better one), with text generated using Eddie Assad's jGnoetry from various sources, including the Pennsylvania Dutch (Amish) collection of folk-remedies and charms "Pow-Wows; or, Long Lost Friend." Pennsylvania Dutch folk symbology includes the "hex sign", still commonly found on barns in Amish country.
